FILMING DIARY

Sunday 19th October 2014

Dear diary, today my group and I met at Upminster station at half 10 in order to catch the train to Fenchurch street where we we're going to start our first bit of filming for the day. We got to the station all very exhausted from waking up early but we were determined to get as much filming done as possible. With all our bags we had to carry we payed for our tickets and ran down the stairs to the platform as the train was coming in. Emma printed our lyrics off the night before and we read through them on the train to double check all four of us knew every word, and it was a success! By the time we got to our destination we knew the lyrics off by heart.

11:00am
We arrived at Fenchurch Street and got some footage of myself in the station itself. The reason we did this was because the song is about a build up to a night out and we thought that we could do some shots where a group of friends meet, get on the train and go out for the night together. I walked through the barrier putting my ticket through as Rhianna filmed behind me as I strutted through the station.

11:30am
We then walked out of Fenchurch street station and had to apply a lot of red lipstick as my face was in the shot alot more often towards the middle of the day. Rhianna filmed me walking (or strutting) towards the camera. We did this because we thought the more footage of different things the better as we'll have more shots to work with when we start editing. From here we went to the tower of London and got some shots of myself strutting up and down the road. We then got the train to Liverpool station and before we got on the train we decided to get a few long and mid shots of lip-syncing for the start of the song. We got on the train to Liverpool street which took us up to about 12:00pm, when we got to Liverpool street we walked out the station and tried to get all different backdrops for lip syncing. We found a cool backdrop near Spitalfields market. It was a silver metal art piece where you could inside it, and we filmed me standing with it behind me. A lot of people were trying to look at the art piece and therefore it was hard to get footage inside there. In our heels Emma, Rhianna and I got shots of us strutting up and down past some unusual looking shops. We then went to Urban-outfitters a unusual shop so we could try on some clothes and maybe buy a new outfit so we had another outfit change.

Time for Lunch
After walking around London in heels for half of the morning we decided to get changed back into our normal clothes. We stopped off at McDonalds and discussed what footage we had and what we didn’t have. That’s when we decided to go to embankment and film by the river.

2:00pm
We made our way to embankment to do some filming along the river and by the London eye. When we got there it was very busy but we managed to do some lip syncing by the river. After being stopped by a group of tourists for a picture and explaining to them we're not actually famous we started walking towards the London eye where we found a merry go round. We finished off our day of filming by filming by the merry go round. We thought this would be good because of the fast movement and bright colours.
